The International Amateur Competition of Salsa Show.
February 28 – March 1, Klaipėda at night club "Floresco (Taikos Ave. 12a).
Salsa dance pairs from Baltic countries and Lithuania will be competing on the dance floor for the highest assessment and the Winners Cup.

„Baltic Salsa Show Cup" Competition Statutes
1. Nature of Competition
„Baltic Salsa Show Cup" (hereinafter referred to as Competition) is a competition dedicated for amateurs of Salsa Show dancers. Dance pairs are invited from Lithuania and other countries for the competition. The competition is dedicated to expand Salsa culture, seeking to attract amateurs and professionals, promote Salsa dance tradition, and strengthen international relations.
2. Preconditions for participation
2.1. Registration. One month before the competition, the registration starts for the competition. Dance pairs have to indicate their name, last name, city, and the dance studio they represent. Until 10 February. 35€ (120Lt.); For PAIR (or 18€ (62Lt.) per person). From 10 February until February 20. 45€ (156Lt.) PAIR (or 23€ (80Lt.) per person). From February 20 until February 27. 55€ (190Lt.) PAIR (or 28€ (100Lt.) per person). This fee includes:
- A stay for two persons in “Reval Inn” hotel with breakfast;
- A free dance lesson;
- Tea, coffee, refreshing drinks, and one alcoholic cocktail during the competition;
- Klaipeda residents instead of a stay in hotel, get subscriptions to sports clubs “Kitonija GYM” or “Apelsinas”.

2.2. Stylistic and technical requirements for the competition. Participants have to prepare the performance that should not last less than 1:30 min and no longer than 3 minutes. There are no tight restrictions for the competition; however, the main precondition for the dancers is to use the elements of Salsa. You can choose the desired style (L.A., Cuban, New York.). It is desirable that participants would perform acrobatic elements like lifting, rotations, gymnastic stunts, but this is not compulsory. Participants should wear dance clothes that are consistent with rules of etiquette. Participants are allowed to use additional details for the performance (except people).
2.3. Music. All participants must arrange their musical background in advance. While preparing the composition, it is recommended to combine a maximum of 3 different musical works. 70% of the whole music composition must include salsa the other part is by participant‘s wish. The musical composition (MP3 format is not suitable) is recorded into CD which should not contain any other recordings. Participants have to indicate their names, last names, and the duration of the composition. CD must be submitted to the Head of the competition before the start of the competition.
2.4. The organization of the competition. Depending on the number of participants, the number of tours is calculated.
2.5. The assessment of the performance. The competition jury consists of Salsa experts from Lithuania and foreign countries. The main assessment criterion is dancer’s ability to create original and impressive performance in which various show elements are applied. The performances are assessed in every stage of the competition.
2.6. The awards ceremony. The winners of the competition (first, second, and third places) are awarded after the competition program is over and the competition jury finished their assessments. The winners get their Cups, diplomas, and cash prizes.
3. The place and time of the competition.
